Our 5-question online census only takes a short time but makes a big impact on decisions for improvements in Airdrie. The information gathered helps plan transportation networks, locations of schools, parks, utilities, fire protection facilities as well as helps attract new businesses and investments. The census is a snapshot in time April 1, 2023.

The personal information on this form is collected under the authority of Section 33(c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, RSA 2000, c F-25, and is used for the purpose of gathering information applicable to administering a census. Questions about collection of this personal information can be directed to the City’s FOIP Coordinator at 400 Main Street SE, Airdrie, Alberta, T4B 3C3, or by phone at 403.948.8816.

The information provided in response to the municipal census is used for statistical purposes only and is not released in a format that can be connected to an individual, household or municipal address. However, please note that collected addressing information may be released, including groups of less than 50 dwellings, to emergency personnel for the purposes of managing an emergency or for planning/training for an emergency. (i.e. evacuation purposes). This information is limited to the municipal address only and will not be linked to any census responses.
